Hey y’all. It’s been a bit. I’ve had work travel and can’t seem to get on and off a plane without catching a cold. This one has lingered for over a week and I’m still crashing throughout the day.
All in all, it’s made putting words together on the page here more difficult as I’m needing way more rest than usual.
One of these days I will actually put together the last post in my hospitality series and share with you why I loved this podcast episode so much. (Especially the first and third acts.) Today is not that day though.
So, here I am in the meantime with another installment of what’s saving my life right now.
…
When I first returned from my trip (before my cold hit full force…) my husband and I rearranged our living room. I LIVE to rearrange. It’s an excuse to get everything cleaned out from under the sofa and vacuum out of corners and crannies; it feels like a fresh start. Now we can see the TV better; Britt is no longer sitting right under the front window throwing herself at cars, dogs, cats, birds, and squirrels; we created a fun little reading nook; there are less flat surfaces to pile junk on… I’m all about it. It’s a little thing, but it’s making this week a bit better when I’m just not 100%.
